WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR MY TRIAL CLASS?
For your first class, we recommend that you/your child wear clothes that allow comfortable movement (no denim items please). If you decide to formally register your child, the school’s uniform may be purchased directly from the school.
CAN WE TRIAL A CLASS BEFORE WE ENROL?
Absolutely! Your first class can be paid on the day of the class. Should you choose to join Momentum School of Dance, you will then receive an invoice for the remaining weeks of the month.
DO YOU HAVE A UNIFORM?
We operate a strict uniform policy. Dancers should be wearing the correct uniform for their class by their 4th class with us. Uniform is to be worn for all dance classes and IDTA Examinations. Class uniform can be purchased by contacting us here.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO JOIN?
You/your child can join us at any time during the month and fees for that month will be adjusted accordingly. We do not want you/your child to have to wait what could be several weeks before joining us.
CAN I ATTEND TWO DANCE SCHOOLS?
In line with generally accepted dance school etiquette, we do not take pupils who are already pupils of another dance school. The School aims to be as ethical as possible toward our fellow teachers and ask all prospective pupils if they have given the required notice before being accepted into the school.
WHAT ARE THE CLASS FEES?
Please contact us for individual class fees. We offer a 5% discount for dancers taking all 4 core classes.
Class fees are paid monthly in advance. After your first class, you will receive an invoice for the remaining weeks of the month.
CAN I WATCH MY CHILD'S CLASSES?
No. We don't allow parents to watch classes due to our insurance & safeguarding policies. Parents will be invited occasionally to view our classes when we hold our watching weeks.
WILL MY CHILD TAKE EXAMINATIONS?
IDTA Examinations are mandatory for all students in all theatre dance genres. The school believes in giving pupils the opportunity to express themselves, their talents and to feel a sense of achievement through the examination process.
DO YOU PUT ON A SCHOOL SHOWCASE?
Yes, we have our big school show every two years at the Create Theatre in Mansfield.
We also take part in other performance opportunities in and around Mansfield.
